Sharon Lee Donahue

Sharon Lee Donahue, 76, of Logan, was called by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 24, 2017.  She was born December 22, 1940 in Columbus, daughter of the late Howard and Opal Robey Mitchell.  Sharon was the widow of the late George W. Donahue.

Along with her husband, she owned and operated Donahue Supply in Logan and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Logan.  Sharon was a loyal contributor to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, her passion in life was to save and rescue animals in need.  She and George rescued over 200 dogs and cats throughout their lifetime together.

There was nothing more important to Sharon than her Lord, her family and especially her grandchildren.  Sharon is survived by her son, Jimmie Warren of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; daughter, Angela Lee (Brian) Richards of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Cortney (Justin) Muncy, Caleb (Ana) Warren, Brianna Richards, Jacob Richards, Peyton Warren, Josey Mae Warren and Abby (Logan) Brown; great grandchild, Bella Brown; brother, Howard “Doc” Mitchell of Sunbury and many other special friends, nieces, nephews and cousins in her life.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Mitchell and sisters, Nancy Carmen, Trilby Bond and Joan Davis.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2017 in the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 15024 State Route 328, Logan, with Pastor Tom Walz officiating.  Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge.  Friends may call at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Sharon Donahue to Creature Comforts Veterinary Center, 4685 Old Columbus Rd. NW, Carroll, Ohio 43112 and reference the Hocking County Dog Shelter account.
