Sharon K. Johnson

Sharon K. Johnson, 72, of Buchtel, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains.  She was born June 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Charles Austin Hale and Laura Alice Fitzpatrick Hale.  She was the widow of the late Wilbur C. “Pork” Johnson.

Sharon attended the Buchtel United Methodist Church before she went to stay at Hickory Creek. She loved to sing, dance, color, play cards and solve puzzles.

She is survived by her stepson, Anthony (Christy) Johnson of Nelsonville; grandsons, Donald McCollister and Michael Johnson; mother-in-law, Ethel Johnson of Buchtel; brother-in-law, Terry (Ruth) Johnson of Buchtel; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Nelson, Maxine Price, Connie Jones, Patty Exline, Shirley Conkle, Kitty Pancake, Myrtle Flowers and Peggy Hale; two brothers, Bill Hale and Bob Hale and a half brother, Jack Hale.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Pastor David Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 11 AM - 1 PM at the funeral home.
