Sheila June McQuaid

Sheila June McQuaid, 74, of Nelsonville, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. June was born on June 28, 1950, in Logan, the daughter of the late William and Irene (Teal) McQuaid.

June was a wonderful artist and especially enjoyed painting outdoor scenes. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in her heart. June had a great sense of humor and was also a lover of cheese and orange juice.

June is survived by her daughter, Judy McQuaid of Buckeye Lake; grandchildren, Kelly (Kyanna) McQuaid, Dustin (Elizabeth Mullins) McQuaid, Kaytalyn (Charli Hopkins) Fouty, Gregory (Jess) McQuaid Jr, Paige Fouty, Kohl (Taylor) Fouty, and Gracie (Kam Thompson) Maffin; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Don (Joann) McQuaid; and sisters, Jean Fouty, Carol (John) Myers, and Pat (David) Hartshorn.

June was preceded in death by her parents; son, Greg McQuaid; sisters, Barbara Huffines, Ruth McDaniels, Marlene Brown, Judy Wray, and Janie Reed; and brother, Gary McQuaid.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville. Family and friends may visit from 11 am to 1 pm, Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.

Donations can be made in memory of June to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
