Shirley Mae Campbell

Shirley Mae (Tyo) Campbell, 89, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at her home. She was born on June 10, 1935, in Kimberly, Ohio, to the late Vernon and Julia (Berry) Tyo. Shirley enjoyed a loving 67-year marriage to her husband, Rudolph “Rudy” Campbell, who survives.

Shirley was a very active and caring person. She loved weekend camping trips with her family and going on motorcycle rides with Rudy. Shirley especially enjoyed doing yardwork and tending to her beautiful garden.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Rudy; daughters, Cindy (Brian) Kasler of Logan and Tina Campbell of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Ryan Kasler and Alissa Kasler; great-grandchildren, Alexis Kasler, Wade Kasler, Landen Kasler, and Brayson Riggs; niece, Lisha and her husband Roger, who were like a daughter and son; niece, Kathy (Mike) Fitterer; nephew, Gary Tyo; and many other special relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by multiple siblings, most recently her brother Kenny Tyo.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
