Shirley Christine Collins

Shirley Christine Collins, 70, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday September 25, 2018 at her residence.  She was born November 3, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late George E. and Virginia J. Hughes Denney.

She worked at various restaurants during her lifetime.  She was greatly loved by her family and will be sadly missed.

Shirley is survived by a son, Phillip “Phil” (Sharon) Collins of Columbus; six grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (Tom) Davis of Venice, Florida and Mary Johnson of Nelsonville; nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry and Tom Denney and brother-in-law Dutch Johnson.

Shirley’s wishes were to be cremated, and no services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
