Shirley I. Robinette

Shirley I. Robinette, 85, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Athens.  She was born November 22, 1935, in Nelsonville, daughter of the late Ralph and Mabel Bingman Williams.  Shirley was the widow of the late Gerald Robinette Sr.

She retired from the Hocking County Treasures office.

Shirley is survived by her sons, David (Susan) Robinette and Gerald (Madonna) Robinette Jr., both of Nelsonville; daughter, Yvonne (David) Sufronko of Nelsonville and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Williams and sisters, Rita Neel and Carol Kasler.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021, in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hocking County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
