Shirley Elizabeth Snider

Shirley Elizabeth Snider, 75, of Murray City, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born March 29, 1946, daughter of the late Pearly and Loretta Maffin Cunningham. Shirley was the widow of the late Hershel Raymond Snider.

Shirley attended Faith Tabernacle Church in Nelsonville. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Shirley is survived her sons, Hershel Snider Jr. (Tabbie) of Buchtel and Matthew Snider (Christina) of Logan; daughters, Shirley Cox (Terry) of Nelsonville and Martha Deeter (Rickie) of Buchtel; 19 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Edward “Buck” Cunningham (Lola) and Dwight “Buzzy” Cunningham; sisters, Bonnie Berry, Christina “Teenie” Varner, and Mary Jo Edwards (Andy).

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Snider; sisters, Chick Cunningham and Pearl McGrath; brothers, Carl Cunningham, Tom Cunningham, Pearly Cunningham, and Donald Cunningham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Pastor Dean Snider officiating. Interment will be at Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel. Friends and family may visit from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the funeral home.
