Steven Lee Sims

Steven Lee Sims, 29, of South Bloomingville, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  He was born May 3, 1993, in Athens, Ohio, son of Connie Edwards of South Bloomingville and the late Bruce Sims.

Steven was a member of Laborers Union Local #423 as a pipeline worker.

He is survived by his son, Steven Eugene Sims. Jr.; brothers, Bruce (Stephanie Maxwell) Sims, Joshua Allen (Flossie) Sims, Wade Sims, Jonathan Nelson and John “Duke” Nelson; sisters, Lisa Nelson, Katie Nelson, Ranea Vickers and Angel Nelson; his biological father, John Nelson; the mother of his child, Rachel Arnett; his stepfather, Bryan States and special cousin, Kyle Matteson.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating.  Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
