Steven William Snyder

Steven William Snyder, age 44 of Rockbridge in Hocking Hills, suddenly passed away at his home on Saturday, May 11, 2019. He was born on December 24, 1974 in Columbus, Ohio.

He graduated from Canal Winchester High School, Class of 1994 and attended Bethany College to play football.  Steve worked at Broadband Communications but recently received his CDL and started at Powers Trucking.  Steve loved being a father and spending time with his boys and he loved being a grandpa. He loved his dog, he was an exceptional carpenter and loved building things, awesome handyman who could fix anything, loved cooking on the grill and smokin’ his brisket while around the bonfire with family, Avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan, loved living in the Hocking Hills and fishing in his pond, He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Logan.

Steve is survived by his devoted children, Zachary Snyder and Christopher Snyder, loving Granddaughter Kyleigh Snyder, Mother of his sons, Rhonda (Van Houten) Snyder, all from Canal Winchester, Ohio, His Father and Step-Mother, Ray and Debbie Snyder, His Mother and Step-Dad, Beverly and Gene Copley, Siblings; Scott (Michele) Snyder, Brian (Mindi) Snyder, Chari (Jarrod) McDonald, Mary (Al) McIver, Nicholas Snyder, Casey (Diane) Copley, Senior Master Sargent Christopher Copley and Jordan Snyder, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brother, Sean Snyder; Grandma Eileen & Grandpa Jack Au, Grandma Patricia Meeker and Grandpa Ralph Snyder.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10:30am-12:30pm with Memorial Service at 11:30am at First Baptist Church of Logan, 399 Norwood Ave, Logan, Ohio 43138.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to assist with funeral expenses may be made to the Snyder Family c/o First Baptist Church of Logan, P.O. Box 241, Logan, Ohio 43138.
