Sue Ann Lowery

Sue Ann Lowery, 78, of Nelsonville, passed away at her home on Friday, November 11, 2022. She was born on February 21, 1944, in Athens, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lena (Andrews) Lightfritz. She was the widow of the late Thomas Lowery.

Sue worked as a bus driver and a home health aide for Beacon School and Havar in Athens.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Marsha Auflick of Nelsonville and Melissa (Cecil) Rose of Nelsonville; sons, Michael Lowery of Nelsonville, Mark (Daphne) Lowery of Glouster, and Mickey Lowery of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Trisha Lowery, Tyler Lowery, Kayla Lowery, Kris Lowery, Abby Lowery, Mary Lowery, Zachary McCombs, Heather Highland, Brittany Clark, and Kari Lowery; 21 great grandchildren; aunt, Joann Pulfer; special friends, Wes Burgett and Karen Perry; and her dog, Lucy.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Matthew Lowery; grandson, Tommy Lowery; and brothers, Clinton Cooper and William Lightfritz.

No services will be held. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
