Tamara E. “Tammy” Hoyd, 60, of New Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. She was born November 6, 1957 in Hocking County, daughter of Leroy and Emma Louise Rupe Mace of Haydenville. Tammy was married for 46 years to Emerson Russell Hoyd, who survives.
She was a retired nurse for Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville.
In addition to her parents and husband, Tammy is survived by her children, Angela (Brian) Newvahner of Albany, Emerson Russell Hoyd II of New Plymouth and Tanya Hoyd of Wellston; grandchildren, Holly and Megan Newvahner, Emerson Russell Hoyd III, Ethan Hoyd, Madison Hoyd and Bradley Thacker; brothers, Richard (Sue) Mace of Logan and Butch Mace of Carbon Hill; sister, Vickie Shoults of Logan; special cousin Cookie Valentine and best friend, Phyllis Jividen.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Leroy Hoyd and brother, Roger Mace.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 6-8 p.m.
