Terry Wayne Walker

Terry Wayne Walker, 66, of McArthur passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson.  He was born December 10, 1950 in Jackson, Ohio, son of the late Orville Edward and Eileen Jean Landrum Walker.

After graduation from Vinton County High School in 1969, he married his high school sweetheart, Linda Kay Gambill Walker and they made their home in McArthur, Ohio.

Terry worked in various positions throughout Vinton County, especially with many Walker family businesses.  Terry was known for his unwavering dedication to his community and most recently was Elk Township Trustee; a position that he proudly held because he enjoyed helping the people of his community.  Terry was a lifelong member of the McArthur Church of The Nazarene.

Terry is survived by his wife Linda; his daughter, Tracy (Bryan) Brewer of Canton, Ohio; sons, Jody (Elma) Walker of Chillicothe, Coty (Shonda) Walker of McArthur and Timothy (Stephanie) Walker of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Riley, Halle and Quincy Bolender, Bryan, Christopher and Vincent Brewer, Hannah Walker, Zane, Ava and Aiden Walker and Miley and Brason Rainer; great grandchildren, Liam, Kalyanna and Brantly Brewer; brothers, Ernest E. (Susan) Walker of Jackson and Mark A. “Tony” (Carol) Walker of McArthur; sister, Cynthia “Cindy” A. Orlowski of McArthur; sister-in-law, Pamela Ward Walker of McArthur and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jeffrey L. and Erick “Clint” Walker.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at the McArthur Church of The Nazarene, 523 N. Market St., McArthur, with Pastor Bill Roth and Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.  Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Terry Wayne Walker to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
