Thelma Pearl Scott

Thelma Pearl Scott, 85, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.  She was born September 10, 1932 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Marvin E. and Helen Ratcliff Hutt.  Thelma was the widow of the late Neil L. Scott.

She retired after 28 years from Goodyear, was a member of Kelly Antioch Church and was also a member of the SERENO Chapter #128 OES in McArthur.

Thelma is survived by her sons, Sam (Bonnie) Scott of Langsville and Melvin (Dot) Scott of McArthur; daughter, Teresa (David) Yates of McArthur; daughter-in-law, Christy Scott of Londonderry; grandchildren, Michele Scott of Langsville, Rebecca Scott of Langsville, Chad Scott of McArthur, Matt (Koty) Yates of McArthur, Riley Scott of McArthur and Rodney (Brittany) Scott of McArthur; step grandchildren, Butch Graves, JD Waldron, Eric Waldron and Bonnie Myers; several great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence “Sonny” Hutt of Logan and Earl (Reney) Hutt of Ray; sisters, Yvonne Patterson of Chillicothe and Shirley (Clyde) Grossarth of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Scott.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Gary Sollars officiating.  Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, McArthur.  No visitation will be held.
