Thomas Howard Charles Barnett

Thomas Howard Charles Barnett, 75, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at his residence.  He was born December 25, 1948, in Vinton County, Ohio, son of the late Clarence and Pauline Miller Barnett.  Tom was married to the late Rhonda Denise McDaniel Barnett.

He was a retired timberman and truck driver.  Tom became a Christian and was baptized at The Kingston Living Water Church CCU.  He enjoyed auto racing and spending time with his family and friends.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Jettie (Steven) Huntley of New Plymouth; son, Bart (Suzie) Barnett of McArthur; stepson, John Durham of Jackson; grandchildren, Joel, Jayla, Allison, Holly and Haley; great grandchildren, Chance, Azayla and Findley; brother, Jim (Jeanie) Barnett of McArthur; sisters, Elaine Patterson of Chillicothe, Peggy (Todd) Ell of Chillicothe, Ruth Ann (Jim) Fee of McArthur and Melody Ferguson of Bradenton, Florida; his dog, Spank and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Scott Barnett Clarence Barnett Jr. and brothers-in-law, Melvin Patterson and Steven Ferguson.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Matt Barnett officiating.  Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Vinton County.  Visitation will be held on Friday, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
