Thomas Phillip “Phil” Pritchard, 87, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Embassy of Logan in Logan, Ohio. He was born April 23, 1936, in Nelsonville, Ohio, son of the late Thomas Morgan and Margaret Traugh Pritchard. Phil was married to Janet Keplar Pritchard, who survives.
He retired from the State of Ohio Auditor’s office and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Phil formerly coached little league baseball and 6th grade basketball for Nelsonville, was very active in the Nelsonville Athletic Boosters and attended the First Presbyterian Church in Logan.
Phil is survived by his wife Janet; daughter, Colleen Pritchard of Logan; nephews, David (Pam) Pritchard and Jeff (Karen) Pritchard; nieces, Vicki (Wayne) Jaques, Kelly (Aaron) Kieffer and Angie (David) Watson and special friend, Tony Welborn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Michael Pritchard; grandson, Thomas Phillip Pritchard II and brother, Irvan Eugene Pritchard.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2024, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, with Pastor Jeff Ott officiating. Military services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. No visitation will be held.
Following the graveside service, a celebration of life luncheon will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 69 E. Washington Street, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764.
