Twila "Tami" Clark

Twila A. “Tami” Clark, 81, of McArthur, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.  She was born April 29, 1942, in New Eagle, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Angel and Olga Martinez.  Tami was the widow of the late Robert C. Clark.

Tami graduated as valedictorian of her class from Donora (PA) High School and later graduated from Slippery Rock State College.  She taught school early in her career including a brief period at Vinton County High School, and then worked for many years as a Librarian at the Herbert Wescoat Memorial Library in McArthur, from which she retired in 2010.  Tami volunteered for many years with the Girl Scouts, as a troop and service unit leader, product sales coordinator, and also on the Seal of Ohio Girl Scout Council Board of Directors.

Tami is survived by her son, David Clark of Los Angeles, California; daughter, Kimberlee (Joseph Detwiler) Clark of Carroll, Ohio; grandchildren, Dominic Detwiler, Natalie Detwiler, and Theresa Detwiler; brother, Robert Martinez of Phoenix, Maryland; and sisters, Kimberlee Mitchel of Ellicott City, Maryland and Nardis Martinez of West Hills, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.  Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur.  Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
