Vaughn Ray Russell

Vaughn Ray Russell, 68, of Carbon Hill, OH, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 24, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 28, 1948 in Logan, Ohio, son of the late William Paul and Melvena Hall Russell. He was married to Beverly “Bev” Sue Kirkendall Russell who survives, for 48 years.

He was a retired custodian at Nelsonville York City Schools for over 30 years. He was greatly loved by his family and friends, and will be sadly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Heather (Dennis) Baker of Nelsonville; sons, Michael Russell of Nelsonville, Gig (Suzie) Russell of Jacksonville, Robin Russell of Hebron and Jordan Russell of Allensville; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Virginia) Russell of Albany and Rick (Rosanne) Russell of Carbon Hill; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering where friends may visit will be Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
