Violet Bircher Cormanick

Violet Louise Bircher - Cormanick - passed away peacefully, March 28th in the Embassy of Logan Nursing home, at the age of 98.  Violet was born in Circleville, OH on August 29th, 1925, to the late Emery L. Bircher and Alta L. Ankrom Bircher.

She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Bob) Nader, Mesa, AZ and Jenny Coleman, Zanesville, OH. She was predeceased by her infant great-grandson, Christopher Jackson; granddaughter, Liza (Cormanick) Magee; son, Donald Cormanick; daughter, Velinda Stepp; son, William Cormainick; and 3 infant children.  She outlived all of her siblings; Virgie, Orin, Fannie, Pauline, Ira, Herbert, Viola and Mildred Bircher.

She was proud of her "beautiful" family and loved her grandchildren, Linda B. (Carl) Calderone, Arlington, TX, George Stepp, Chillicothe, OH, Angie (Brian) Jackson, Galena, OH, Niki Cormanick, Centerburg, OH, David Cormanick, Columbus, OH, William Stepp, Columbus, OH, Bobby Joe Nader, New Ulm, MN and Ian Scott, Erin Scott and Katie Coleman, of Zanesville, OH.  She had 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Granny was a tidy, petite lady that dressed well.  Her hair, nails and makeup were always done, and she always had lipstick and powder nearby for touch ups.  She was artistic, loved to draw and spent her last days coloring for endless hours.  She loved and collected dolls and had many, including on her bed when she passed and she loved to show off her dollhouse she decorated to spec, with lighting!  Granny loved gardening, flowers, animals of all kinds and nature.  She told us she had eyes in the back of her head and always knew what you were up to, and we believed her!  She was a wealth of knowledge and told many wonderful stories about family and how things have evolved since she was young.

Calling hours are Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., the funeral service will begin at 12:30 at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 East Second Street, Logan Ohio 43138.  Interment will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery, South Bloomingville, OH.
