Virginia Lee Sansom

Virginia Lee Sansom, 89, of Canal Winchester, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at her residence.  She was born April 11, 1929 in Bourneville, daughter of the late Manuel and Alta Cummings Shoemaker.  She was the widow of the late Wilson E. Sansom.

She was a retired Cosmetologist, a member of the Whitehall Moose Lodge #865 and the VFW ladies auxiliary.

Sue is survived by daughters, Deborah Sansom and her husband Arbie Steele of Carroll and Shiela Sansom of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Westly (Jennifer) Spradlin, Cassandra (Kenny) Lawson and David Beckman; great grandchildren, Kyle Lawson, Trevor Lawson, Grace Lawson, Olivia Spradlin and Devlen Spradlin; brothers, Daryl Shoemaker of Bainbridge and Don (Patty) Shoemaker of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Shoemaker and sisters, Charlotte Smith and Esther Shoemaker.

Virginia’s wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
