Vivian "Sissy" Whightsel

Vivian “Sissy” Whightsel, 74, of McArthur, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth. She was born January 18, 1950, in Allensville, the daughter of the late Chester and Ruth (Inboden) Seitz. She was the widow of the late Rocky Lee Whightsel Sr.

Sissy was a sassy and outspoken woman. She loved everyone and cherished her family.

Sissy is survived by her son Rocky Lee Whightsel Jr. of McArthur; daughters, Tina (Garry) Brown of South Carolina and Tonya (Finley) Burke of Albany; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Roy Seitz of McArthur; sister-in-law, Sandy Seitz of McArthur; and several nieces and nephews.

Sissy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Ray Seitz, Chester Seitz, and Melvin Seitz.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6 to 8 pm.
