Wesley Edwin Remy

Wesley Edwin Remy, 19, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 as a result of an auto accident.  He was born January 11, 1999 in Chillicothe, son of Annette (fiancé, Keith Johnson) Brigner Remy of Jackson and John (Christine Barclay) Remy of Ray.

Wesley was a 2018 graduate of Buckeye Hills Career Center and was former member of the Allensville Moonshiners 4-H Club where he won grand champion rabbits at the 2009 Vinton County Junior Fair.  He enjoyed go-kart racing, earning many championship and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Eryn (Riley) Remy Gilson of Hilliard and Johnna (Chris Claytor) Remy of Chillicothe; brother, William (Jenna Ewing) Hedrick of Jackson; grandfather, Kenneth Remy Sr. of McArthur; aunt, Teresa (Jack) Remy-Detty of Jackson; uncle, Kenneth “Bub” (Chris) Remy Jr. of Ray and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Wesley was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Cartwright II; grandfather, Herbert Maxwell and grandmothers, Sue Maxwell and Linda Remy.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2018 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Evangelist Lester Hedrick officiating.  Interment will be in Log Pile Cemetery, Vinton County.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
