William Dean Reinschell

William Dean Reinschell, 86, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.  He was born September 4, 1932 in Logan, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Mary Warthman Reinschell.  Dean was married for 36 years to the love of his life, Rita McGlothlin Reinschell, who survives.

He retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service, including serving in the Vietnam War.  Dean was a life member of the Logan AMVETS and Eagles.  He loved traveling in his motorhome and had an interest in antique cars.  Dean was an avid reader, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Along with his wife Rita, he is survived by his daughter, Belinda (Ronal) Moder of Laurelville; grandchildren, Kyle Chase Henderson and Kirsten Herrick; great grandchildren, Liam and Lily Henderson and Kaleah Herrick; brothers, Vike Reinschell of Upper Sandusky, Gary Reinschell of Lancaster and Lowell Reinschell of New Plymouth; sisters, Carol White of Virginia and Martha Anthony of Lithopolis and his beloved cats, Buckeye and Kitty Cat.

In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his son, Greg Reinschell; brothers, Lonnie and Frank Reinschell and sisters, Anita Hatem and Pat Bowen.

A memorial service will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating and military services being conducted at the funeral home by the Hocking County Honor Guard.  Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
