William Edward George

William Edward George, 71, of McArthur, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.  He was born on August 9, 1950, in Franklin County to Rosie May and James Wesley George.

William enjoyed being surrounded by loved ones, riding motorcycles, attending fishing trips, and being an active hobbyist.  Above all he took great pride in being a father that created lasting memories.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Sharon K. (Brandham) George and Robin George.

William is survived by his daughters, Darcus Star (Jeffery) Remy of McArthur and Patricia Thompson Curtis of Columbus; 9 grandchildren including, Lorein Kay (Brian) George-Wemmer, Thomas Ryan Manring, Jacob Remy, Justin Remy, Steven Coleman, and Amber Coleman; great grandchildren, Blake Wemmer, Nova Wemmer, Thomas Manring Jr., and Jasper Manring; and brother, Jim (Gladis) George of Columbus.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Mark Rosser officiating. Burial will follow in Wyckoff Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may visit from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
