William "Red" Earl Miller

April 27, 1944 — July 10, 2018

William Earl “Red” Miller, 74, of Union Furnace, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his residence.  He was born April 27, 1944 in Pikeville, Kentucky, son of the late Harold A. and Alma Blackburn Miller.  Red was married to Sandra Lee Nelson Miller, who survives.

He retired from General Electric in Logan and was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.  Red was a member of Jehovah’s Witness and also a former member of the Logan Moose and Eagles and lifetime member of the Logan AMVETS.

He is survived by his sons, Scott L. Miller of Union Furnace, Harold (Mary) Miller of Logan and Russell L. (Heather Mitchell) Miller of Murray City; daughters, July (Scott) Simonton of Nelsonville and Amy J. Miller of Carroll; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Darlene Miller of Lancaster.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Paul William Miller; brothers, James, Jack, Avery, Harold Jr., Vernon and Lester Miller and sisters, Christina Workman, Shirley Miller and Anna Miller.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Kingdom Hall. No visitation will be held.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
