Vicky Lynn Hunter

Vicky Lynn Hunter, 63, of New Plymouth, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born on July 27, 1959, in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Willis “Willy” and Susan “Susie” (Ashmore) Woodgeard. Vicky was married to Guy M. Hunter who survives.

Vicky worked at Goodyear for many years. She was a hardworking, sweet, kind, and loving person. She enjoyed planting flowers, decorating the yard, and feeding and watching the birds, especially “Red Birds”. Vicky enjoyed making delicious desserts, Texas Sheet Cake, Buckeyes, and Fudge were a few of her favorites. She also enjoyed collecting old coins, wind chimes, playing bingo, and coloring detailed pictures.

In addition to her husband, Vicky is survived by her sons, Jason Woodgeard, Justin (Stacie) Hunter, and Toby (Shandi Bennington) Hunter; grandchildren, Austin (Olivia Fouty) Hunter, Lane Woodgeard, Jayden Woodgeard, Dakota Hunter, Kayson Bennington, and Wyatt Hunter; great grandchildren, Elijah and Makenna Hunter; brother, David (Jyl) Woodgeard; niece, Wendy Woodgeard; close special friends, Yvonne Culbertson, Amanda Ruffner, and Morgan Dickens; several cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Rick Bennington officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, South Bloomingville. Friends may visit from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Vicky to the Cardaras Funeral Home to help with expenses.
