Van Cardaras is a native of Glouster, Ohio. While a student at Glouster High School, Van began his career working at the VanFossen Funeral Home (now owned by Cardaras). After high school, Van attended Ohio University and then earned his Funeral Director certification at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. With over 35 years of experience, Van and his wife Pam own the Cardaras Funeral Homes in Logan, Nelsonville, Glouster, and McArthur, Ohio. In 2002, Cardaras Funeral Home was honored with the Small Business of the Year Award by the Logan Hocking Chamber of Commerce. Van is also an active leader in his community. Among his many community activities, Van is a past President and board member of Logan Rotary Club, past Secretary of the Civic Improvement Corp. (CIC), former Hocking District Chairman, Boy Scouts of America, Past President of the Hocking Valley Community Hospital Foundation Board, Past Secretary of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation, former member of the Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville Board, member of the Logan Hocking Schools Pledge Club, and a charter member of the Funeral Ethics Association. Van has served on several committees over the years with the Ohio Funeral Directors Association. He is also a member of Mingo Lodge # 171 F&AM, Hock Hocking Council # 39 Royal and Select Masons, Logan Chapter # 75 Royal Arch Masons, Logan Commandery # 78 Knights Templar, Aladdin Temple Shrine and a Charter member of the Hocking Hills Shrine Club. He and his wife Pam love supporting many activities in the communities they serve. Pam grew up in Cincinnati and is a Registered Nurse. She has worked at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Hocking Valley Community Hospital, and Logan Health Care Center. Pam currently assists in the office, helps on visitations, funeral services, memorial services and generally assists families when needed.

Jennifer is the daughter of Van and Pam Cardaras. She was born in raised in Logan, Ohio. Jennifer is the Co-President for the Vinton County Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Vinton County Jaycees. She resides in McArthur with her husband Matt and daughters, Brooklyn and Sydney.

Andy is a graduate of the Ohio State University and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.   He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2005.  Andy and his wife, Laura, who is a high school English teacher have a daughter named Bella.  He is a member of the Lions Club, serves on the board for FairHoPe Hospice & Palliative Care and the Logan Rotary Club.

Jimmy was raised in Vinton County, Ohio He graduated from Vinton Co. High School, Ohio University, and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Jimmy became a funeral Director in 2003.

Kayle has been a life long resident of Vinton County. He lives here with his wife of 34 years, Rita. They have two children, Kevin Teeters and Carla (Toby) Fetheroff and also two grandsons, Charger Allen and Ruger Dale Fetheroff. Kayle is a Jackson Township Trustee, an avid farmer and has been an employee since 1998.

Kurt grew up in Logan, Ohio and graduated from Logan High School.

He is a U.S. Army veteran and is retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio.

He and his wife Cheryl reside in Nelsonville. They have two sons, Scott, his wife Katie and Shawn. Kurt is active with the Nelsonville American Legion, the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway and enjoys playing golf. He joined Cardaras Funeral Homes in 2009
